MR. JAMIAS

Jared Jamias is an Orange County based music teacher/guitarist/vocalist/producer. The video game Guitar Hero 3: Legends of Rock sparked his passion for music and playing the guitar. He took 4 years of Classical Guitar classes offered at Servite High School, which created a musical foundation and developed his playing technique, musicality, pedagogy, and musicianship as a solo and ensemble player. He later attended and graduated from Chapman University with a BM in Guitar Performance and a BA in Integrated Educational Studies. During his time at Chapman, he studied classical, jazz, and contemporary styles of guitar, while furthering his knowledge and skills in theory, aural skills, music history, and composition. He earned the Chapman Guitar Performance award in 2017. After graduating Chapman, he decided to try and become a general education elementary teacher, and was accepted into Loyola Marymount University's PLACE Corps Cohort 17. He would study and work to attain his first Master's in Education. For two years, he worked as an elementary school homeroom teacher at two private Catholic schools in Los Angeles, teaching 3rd and 5th grade. After realizing he missed music, he decided to return to Chapman to get his second Master's, this time in Music Education. He is now a general music teacher at a private Catholic school in Whittier, still earning his second Master's and teaching credential. Mr. Jamias is also a Spotify verified artist, producing his original instrumental lo-fi music under Prodijaé. He enjoys performing, producing, playing basketball, juggling, learning new instruments, and reading in his spare time outside of teaching.

Mr. Jamias holds a M.A. in Elementary Education from Loyola Marymount University (2019), a M.A. in Music Education, B.A. in Integrated Educational Studies, and B.M. in Guitar Performance from Chapman University (2020, 2017).
